This Wednesday marks the one-year anniversary for tribe.net!

Brian, Walter, Patti... their profiles all began 07/21/03.

What should we do to mark this occasion? Crash the tribe offices with balloons and party favors?!?!

I read this as "crash the tribe orifices". Heh.

That's quite enough of that. There will be no spontaneous bursts of hilarity in any thread that I start!!!

Ooh, that reminds me of a deathless quote from Zoe last night. I have to post this all over the place. It was in reference to the fact that Zoe wants to have Jason's babies:

"He can spray sperm all over the place, as long as he sends some my way."

But back to the topic at hand---

Does anyone except me care about the tribe natal anniversary?

Sure I do. But (a) I don't live as conveniently close to the Tribe office as you do and more importantly (b) I'm going crazy nuts with the packing to move thing.

I think it's pretty spiffy. But Wednesday's a busy day for me, so I don't think I'd be able to participate.

                  No.

I do care about the effects of aging on my hands, though. They used to be so much younger looking.

Dr. Yo, I'm probably going to go to the Frank Chu party on Wednesday night over at art-sf on Capp Street. But, yes, I do think something nice directed toward Tribe.Net is in order.

My favorite KTangent: @ the Potluck on Sunday, we observed Jason sitting in the hot tub, unswerving, unerring and obviously content in his choice of seating. Someone made the comment, "Jason hasn't moved from that corner." KT says, "No one puts Baby in the corner." I think I was the only one who heard it ... and, even in my stupor, burst out laughing.

Y'all are welcome to design whatever you want. I like the enigmatic quality of this, and also, I don't have time to make it fancy.

I almost added a single candle coming out of the tribe logo, but it was too damn phallic!

I think it's perfect, Yo. It's clean, streamlined and not so busy that you can't read it when shrunken down to the size of a postage stamp. Plus, it reminds people about the short duration we've all been together on-line, rather than just suggesting a birthday has passed. Makes it kinda formal.

Sorry, I'm not awake yet KT. Slept until one pm, ate a donut, drank a cup of coffee and STILL not awake.

Thanks for the variations on the theme. My only regret is that I couldn't find a larger tribe logo, so I had to upsample the one from the site homepage. So it's a little rough around the edges, and no time to clean it up.

My friends list today was most often filled with the Yo avatar, but there was always one exception. Just moments ago, Madame Gonzaga was sitting, sans tribe logo, in the Whoopi Goldberg square.

Yeah I should have thought to provide a .PSD file with a layer mask so ppl could easily slug in whatever background they wanted. Oh well, there's always next year.

I prefer the standard gray, even though it's not beautiful. That is the tribe.net design scheme, after all.

Of all the variations, I like Slim's the best. Yellow tribe ducky!

I got so confused reading this thread, because I didn't notice it was a year old, and I'm thinking, "Spidra's moving?!" but her house is so cute! And she just moved a year ago!

Now I get it. I have a lil tribute image I made for myself. Like I have time for that, but hey, it's fun to be rebellious with many deadlines hanging over your head! :P

      Happy Tribe-day!

I'd show you what I put on my blog about it, but it's down. :(
